Service Description

Come and learn how to make two colour, multiplate, symetrical patterns in linocut in this two week course. I will show you how to plan, design and carve your pattern blocks, how to register the two designs, and how to experiment with colours and inking techniques. You'll make some wonderful prints by the end of the course and be able to continue printing from the blocks again and again. Week one will be the design and carving stage, week two will be all about printing and exploring ways that you can experiment with the printing to produce wonderful patterns. This course would suit anyone who has done a little bit of linoprinting before and wants to explore new ways of playing with the medium. Like all courses at Bristol Print Room this will be taught in small groups so you will have plenty of supervision and guidance throughout the course.
